WHAT: See application details below. The City of Port Angeles is scheduling a necessary public hearing for a Municipal Code Update (MCA) Permit Application No. PZ 24-74 conducted by the City’s Planning Commission. Application information may be requested from the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) by visiting https://www.cityofpa.us/145/Land-Use-Projects-Under-Review.
HOW TO COMMENT: Interested parties are encouraged to comment on the Application Proposal and may request a copy of the decision once it’s been made. Any interested parties may submit written comment during the 14-day public comment period care of the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) via email ced@cityofpa.us, or addressed to 321 E 5th St., Port Angeles, WA 98362. Public Comment received before December 5th will be supplied to the Planning Commission in advance, any public comment received after December 6, 2024 will be supplied to the Planning Commission the day of the public hearing. Verbal Comments can be made during the Public Hearing public comment period on the date listed below.
STATE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT: A Determination of Non-Significance has been made per WAC 197-11-340. This comment period will be the only time to comment on the proposed project's environmental impacts.
Interested parties are encouraged to comment on the SEPA Checklist and may request a copy of the determination once it’s been made. Any interested parties may submit written comments during the 14-day public comment period care of the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) via email at ced@cityofpa.us or addressed to 321 E 5th St., Port Angeles, WA 98362 no later than the comment period closing date of December 11, 2024.
DECISION AND APPEAL INFORMATION: The City Council decision will be made based on the Staff Report, application record, and written public comment. Any appeal of this decision shall be filed within 14 days after the date of the decision.

HEARING LOCATION: This meeting will be held virtually and in Port Angeles City Hall Council Chambers, 321 E 5th Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362
VIRTUAL HEARING PARTICIPATION: The Audio Only and Live Hearing function will be available 30 minutes prior to the meeting. If you are unable to attend the hearing, or unable to deliver audio public testimony during the public hearing as described above, you may submit your written public testimony in advance of the hearing to ced@cityofpa.us for Planning Commission consideration (all written public testimony must be received prior to the hearing date of December 11, 2024).
DECISION AND APPEAL INFORMATION: A City Council decision will be made based on the Staff Report, record, and written public comment and verbal testimony. The City Council decision is final. Any appeal of this decision shall be filed within 14 days after the date of decision.
