Stay indoors and off the roads. If you must drive, keep emergency supplies in your car.
Close off rooms to consolidate and retain heat.
Dress in layers, and use blankets to stay warm.
Bring pets into a warm place and out of the storm or severe cold.
Never use a generator indoors, as well as camp stove, charcoal grill, gasoline or propane heater, as these items can start accidental fires, cause electric shock, and/or cause deadly carbon monoxide poisoning.
Never heat a home with a cooktop or oven.
Limit your time outdoors and stay dry.
Never touch a downed power line. If you see one, please call 360-417-4724 during business hours or 360-797-7303 after hours to report the power line and location.

- Main arterials – to keep the hospitals, fire stations, police stations, and emergency rescue connected

- Other arterials connecting major traffic volume streets and providing access to schools

The City has 144 miles of roads to clear, limited equipment, and six employees available for around-the-clock removal operations. We appreciate your patience.
It is inevitable that driveways will be blocked during plowing operations. We’re sorry for this inconvenience, but it cannot be avoided. Snow removal can be a monumental task, and we appreciate your understanding.

- Maintain snow removal of your sidewalks and driveways
