[ARCHIVED] Localized East Side PA Water Shut Off & Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Boil Water Advisory

UPDATE:

The City’s contractor has experienced unforeseen difficulties in performing the repair to the water main. Current estimates are for water service to be returned by this evening, hopefully between 5pm and 7pm on Friday, December 6th. City crews will be updating residents by going door to door to inform those that are effected. The precautionary boil water advisory will remain in place until satisfactory water samples are received after the repair is completed. Effected customers will be notified when the precautionary boil water advisory is lifted by City crews going door to door and the use of door hangers. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to a water main repair, water will be shut off from 7:00am-7:00pm on Thurs, Dec. 5th from E. Golf Course Rd to Mt. Pleasant Rd/S of 101. This will affect City Customers only. Following the repair, a precautionary boil water notice is being issued.

Blue door hangers have been placed at the residences affected (on doors or in mailboxes when the doors were not reachable).

The City is actively working to repair the water main and once it has been disinfected and flushed, the City will take water samples to ensure safety. Once satisfactory results are received, the City will contact homes affected via door hangers. Updates will be provided through the City’s website and Public Works Facebook page.
