(Municipal Code Amendment No. 19-67)
The City of Port Angeles is proposing Municipal Code Amendments related to residential development standards, parking standards, and property segregation. Application information may be reviewed in City Hall at the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED). City Hall is accessible for persons with disabilities. Interested parties are encouraged to comment and attend the public hearing on the proposal and may request a copy of the decision once it’s been made. Any interested parties may submit written comment during the 14-day public comment period or provide verbal testimony during the public hearing. Written comments must be submitted prior to the close of the public comment period to DCED at 321 East Fifth St., Port Angeles, Washington, 98362. This application includes public hearings conducted by the City’s Planning Commission and City Council (Public hearing information is listed below). The City Council Decision will be made based on the Staff Report and record, including Planning Commission recommendation written public comment and verbal testimony, within 120 days of the date of completeness determination. Any appeal of this decision shall be filed within 14 days after the date of decision.
STATE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT: It is expected that a Determination of Non-Significance will be issued for the project. The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This comment period will be the only time to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project. Written comment must be submitted to the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), 321 East Fifth Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362, no later than September 25, 2019. Information may be reviewed by the public at the DCED in City Hall. City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities.
