Sarina Carrizosa, Interim Finance Director for the City of Port Angeles has been promoted to Finance Director. Sarina has been employed with the City of Port Angeles for almost five years. Sarina started with the City of Port Angeles as a Financial & Management Analyst, promoted to Senior Accountant in April 2016, and has recently been the Interim Finance Director since November 2018.
As the Finance Director, Sarina reports directly to the City Manager, and is part of the senior management team. Nature of work will include: plan, direct and administer the Finance Department involving financial and debt management, accounting, budget and financial planning, treasury, and Customer Services for Utilities. She will serve as chief financial advisor to the City Manager and City Council.
Sarina has proven to be financially responsible in oversight of the City’s budget, capital facilities plan and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. She has logged hundreds of hours as Acting and Interim Finance Director, successfully overseeing the Department while the position remained vacant. Sarina has demonstrated a high level of leadership in the Finance Department and illustrated the capability to be a strong contributing member to the City Leadership Team.
