Beginning Monday March 25th, “Garden Glory” compost will be offered at 30% off regular prices. The sale will continue through April 6th at the Compost Facility at the Regional Transfer Station located at 3501 West 18th Street in Port Angeles. Visa, Master Card, Discover and checks are accepted.
Now is a great time to apply compost to improve your soil! You are adding nutrients that will be available to your plants when they begin growing in the spring.
Sale prices will be: $14.00 per cubic yard for 1 - 3 cubic yards. $11.90 per cubic yard for 4 - 49 yards. $11.20 per cubic yard for 50 - 99 yards. $10.50 per cubic yard for 100 - 299 yards. And, $9.80 per cubic yard for 300 or more yards.
Garden Glory is a mixture of yard waste and biosolids and has been sold at the Compost Facility since 2007. Yard waste includes grass, leaves, branches, and other yard debris from residences and commercial activities in Clallam County. Biosolids come from the treatment of wastewater at the City Wastewater Treatment Plant. These biosolids are treated and strictly monitored in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The City of Port Angeles is a participant in the US Composting Council Seal of Testing Assurance Program and test results are given with each purchase.
