[ARCHIVED] 10th Street Reconstruction Update

tenth street nov 9 2018

Work on the West 10th Street project, between I Street and N Street, is scheduled for completion by the end of December. In the spring a final layer of asphalt and pavement markings will be placed. Thank you for your continued patience during our road repair efforts.

For more project information and photos please visit the Project Webpage.

During construction, West 10th Street between I and N Streets continues to be closed to through traffic. M Street will be closed north of 10th Street. During active construction activities, local residents will be directed through the construction site by flaggers. Expect delays.

Here are the details:

Where:      West 10th Street between I Street and N Street.

When:       Beginning Monday, July 23rd, with most work complete on or about Friday, December 21st.

Funding:   This is the first use of local Transportation Benefit District (TBD) sales tax funding which was approved by voters in August, 2017. The 10th Street Reconstruction Project was accelerated with the recent availability of Washington State Transportation Improvement Board grant funding.

Our goal is to complete the project with as little inconvenience as possible while keeping safety of the public, pedestrians, and motorists a top priority. Please use alternate routes and watch for trucks entering and leaving N Street and I Street. Please remember, slow down for safety and observe the posted 20 mph speed limit.

Please note that as with all projects - dates may change and work may be extended depending on weather, progress, and conditions.
