City Seeks Tree Donation for Annual Downtown Holiday Celebration

The City of Port Angeles Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking a donation of a 30 to 35 foot tall fir tree for the City’s downtown holiday celebration. The tree, which must be accessible by vehicle, is needed no later than mid-November. Donors will receive special recognition for helping with the annual tradition.

Each year, the City receives a donated tree which is placed at the Conrad Dyar Memorial Fountain located at First & Laurel Streets. The Port Angeles Downtown Association hosts the annual Hometown Holidays Tree Lighting ceremony and festivities which take place on the weekend following Thanksgiving. This year’s tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 24.

If you’re interested in donating a tree, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 360-417-4550 or
