Work continues on the 16th Street Stormwater Retrofit Project. Crews are installing three biofilters and one CDS® Hydrodynamic Separator on 16th Street, at the “C,” D,” and “E” Street intersections. These stormwater upgrades will help remove pollutants, including total suspended solids, dissolved copper, dissolved zinc and total phosphorus, from stormwater runoff before connecting into Tumwater Creek.
On Thursday, January 8, crews will be working at the intersection of 16th and C Streets to continue installing stormwater system improvements and restore pavement where asphalt was previously removed. This work will take place between the hours of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.
During this time, flaggers will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Alternatively, drivers can utilize available detour routes.
The south entrance to Angeles Millwork will remain accessible.
