West Hill Street is now open to vehicle traffic. While a small amount of loose debris may continue to move down the slope, geotechnical reports indicate this activity to be typical and not associated with ongoing landslide activity. Crews have completed a cleanup of the area and installed protective fencing at the bottom of the slope to prevent debris from entering the roadway. We will continue to monitor the area and clean up debris as needed.
For your safety, the Olympic Discovery Trail will remain closed between Hill Street and Marine Drive at this time. The trail will reopen once debris movement has settled. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
