The days are shorter, the air is cooler, and autumn is on its way. With the changing of the seasons, the Parks & Recreation Department will begin removing the floating docks from City Pier on September 19, 2025.
This work is performed each year after Labor Day to prevent storm damage caused by seasonal changes in wind and storm patterns. The floats will be safely stored and returned to the City Pier for Memorial Day Weekend in 2026.
Floating docks will be temporarily removed from the Ediz Hook Boat Launch in mid-October, after the last day of the fishing season (October 15). This decision follows damage sustained by the floats in previous years and will help us protect our remaining infrastructure.
We enjoyed serving you this season and look forward to welcoming you back next spring! For more information about the City’s boat launch and mooring facilities, please contact us at (360) 417-4550 or parksandrecreation@cityofpa.us.
