Notice is hereby given that the City Council, and City Boards, Committees, and Commissions will hold special meetings on Thursday, June 12, 2025, starting at 5:00 p.m., in the Peninsula Room at the Red Lion Hotel located at 221 N. Lincoln Street in Port Angeles.
From 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., the following City advisory boards will hold special meetings:
- Port Angeles City Council
- Port Angeles Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
- Port Angeles Parks, Recreation & Beautification Committee
- Port Angeles Planning Commission
- Port Angeles Public Safety Advisory Board
- Port Angeles Utility Advisory Committee
The purpose of the special meetings is for members of the City’s Permanent Committees to learn about the progress made on the City of Port Angeles Vision 2045 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update, and to provide comments. This meeting will be conducted as an in person open house. We are encouraging Permanent Committee members to attend in person. This meeting is open to the public.
The agenda includes:
- 5:00 – 5:30pm Open house. Poster stations will be available providing information on each element of the first draft Comprehensive Plan and ideas for changing neighborhood boundaries. There will be opportunities to provide input in multiple ways. City staff and consultants will be available for questions and discussion.
- 5:30 – 6:00pm Presentation. City staff and consultants will provide a presentation providing an overview and orientation of the first draft Comprehensive Plan. The project schedule and process to-date will be reviewed along with public input received so far. The presentation will conclude with a summary of the major changes or ideas/concepts that are in the draft, and how to provide input going forward.
- 6:00 – 7:30pm Open house resumes.
- 7:30pm – Adjournment.
