About the Project

This project will remove and replace existing asphalt on 8th Street (between Lincoln and “A” Streets) and resurface the 8th Street Bridges to extend their service life. As part of this work, driving lanes will be reconfigured to include new bike lanes in both eastbound and westbound directions. In addition, pedestrian routes along 8th Street will be upgraded to meet current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards. Existing sidewalk curb ramps will be replaced throughout the project area, and new Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) buttons will be installed at the intersection of Cherry and Pine Streets.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue this work.  To learn more, please visit www.cityofpa.us/projects or contact the Public Works & Utilities Department at publicworks@cityofpa.us.

Cherry Street will be partially closed (between 7th and 8th Street) on April 9-10 and April 21-22.
