If you experience a new power outage or come across fallen trees, branches in wires, or downed power lines, please contact the Public Works & Utilities Department at 360-417-4726. Do not attempt to remove fallen trees from power lines or approach downed lines.

On Monday, January 6, two mylar balloons caused multiple power outages throughout the City of Port Angeles due to a burned wire and multiple blown fuses, resulting in utility customers being without power. City Light Operations has been dispatched and is actively restoring power in impacted areas. Power is expected to be back on by 4pm.
Report An Issue
Do not attempt to remove fallen trees or debris from power lines or approach downed lines. Please contact the City of Port Angeles Public Works & Utilities Department at (360) 417-4726 to report a new power outage, fallen trees, branches or debris in wires, downed power lines, lines sparking, or additional information that may be helpful in pinpointing areas of outages.
Precautionary Measures
Turn off or disconnect appliances and electronics in case of a power surge when service is restored or invest in surge protectors. To prevent localized water accumulation, please clear leaves from storm drains.
