On Tuesday, September 17, routine utility pole inspections will begin in Port Angeles. The City has contracted with Pacific Pole Inspection LLC to conduct this work over the next six weeks.
The purpose for these inspections is to ensure safety, reliability, and extend the service life of the City’s utility poles. During the process, the contractor will inspect, treat, and label all City-owned wood poles within the designated zones (see Zones 1 and 3 of map below).
While most poles are located in public areas, some may only be accessible on private property. For those poles, the contractor will contact the resident before entering the yard.
This routine process is not expected to cause any disruptions to service or traffic.
If you have questions about this process, please contact the Public Works & Utilities Department at (360) 417-4800 or publicworks@cityofpa.us.

Work will take place within Zone 3 of the map above.
