The City of Port Angeles Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce an upcoming court renovation at Elks Playfield, 533 W 14th Street in Port Angeles.
On August 12, 2024, the City with contractor Rainbow Sweepers, Inc. of Port Angeles, will begin repairs of the pickleball courts at Elks Playfield. This project, made possible by a generous $30,000 donation from a private citizen, includes asphalt repairs on the two center courts, and a complete resurfacing with new paint for all six courts at the playfield (see PK0123 in the Capital Facilities Plan).
To facilitate this work, pickleball nets and fences will be removed on Thursday, August 8, and the courts will close to the public. The project is expected to be complete on August 23 (weather permitting). Courts will be closed for the duration of the renovation.
Once complete, Elks Playfield will offer a fully renovated playing surface, ensuring a quality experience for all pickleball players.
