[ARCHIVED] Lifted - Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

Boil Water Notice LIFTED

As of Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023, the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is lifted for the McDougal Street area of Port Angeles. Satisfactory water sample test results received this morning warrant lifting the notice. It is no longer necessary to boil tap water or consume bottled water.

The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory was issued of out an abundance of caution for areas where the water pressure dropped below required levels, caused by a water main break. On Tuesday September 12, 2023, water was restored to the homes impacted by the break, a localized precautionary boil water advisory was issued, and affected customers were notified by pre-recorded phone message.  Approximately 102 customers were impacted.

The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is now lifted; satisfactory water sample results have been obtained; the water is safe to drink and use. Affected customers are being notified by pre-recorded phone message.
