As of Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 4:17 a.m., the boil water notice is lifted for Port Angeles. Satisfactory water sample results received this morning warrant lifting the citywide notice. It is no longer necessary to boil tap water or consume bottled water.
The boil water notice was in effect following repairs to a water transmission main and subsequently low water levels in the City’s reservoirs.
The City issued the boil water notice out of an abundance of caution to all water utility customers. Samples taken on Monday, August 28th, were tested and it has been verified that the water is safe to drink and use. All water utility customers will receive an auto-dialer phone message with this information today, August 29th.
If you experience discolored water, please flush your water lines by running the water in a bathtub or faucet until the water runs clear.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. If you have questions about your water service, please contact the Public Works & Utilities Department at (360) 417-4800. To receive future City news via email notification, please subscribe to NotifyMe: www.cityofpa.us/NotifyMe.
