Please be aware of upcoming road work and park closures as improvement projects are completed:
9/11 Memorial Waterfront Park - Vehicle Access
Work will resume on the Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation Project (opens in a new tab) on Tuesday, November 11. This infrastructure improvement project will rehabilitate over 3,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer main along Francis Street.
To facilitate this work, the vehicle entrance to 9/11 Memorial Waterfront Park (opens in a new tab) will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, through Friday, November 14, from dawn to dusk. The park will remain open during regular hours, but the parking lot will not be accessible while the vehicle entrance is closed.
16th Street Stormwater Retrofit - Road Closure
Work continues on the 16th Street Stormwater Retrofit Project (opens in a new tab). Crews are installing three biofilters and one CDS® Hydrodynamic Separator on 16th Street, at the “C,” D,” and “E” Street intersections. These stormwater upgrades will help remove pollutants, including total suspended solids, dissolved copper, dissolved zinc and total phosphorus, from stormwater runoff before connecting into Tumwater Creek.
Starting Tuesday, November 11, through Friday, November 14, a portion of C Street (located between 15th and 17th Streets) will be closed to traffic between the hours of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. The south entrance to Angeles Millwork will remain accessible.
Please plan for traffic delays. A traffic control plan will be posted to the City’s website on Monday, November 10, with additional details.
