As part of the ongoing Signal Controller Upgrade Project (TR0120 in the City’s Capital Facilities Plan), residents and commuters should be advised of the following traffic notice.
Effective January 7, 2025:
Traffic signals at the intersection of Golf Course Road and Highway 101 will be temporarily out of service starting at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, for approximately two hours. During this time, uniformed police officers will be onsite to direct traffic. Temporary signals will not be installed during this period.
In addition, Golf Course Road will not be accessible via Highway 101. The following detours for accessing Golf Course Road will be in place (see detour map below):
- Eastbound traffic will be detoured onto South Penn Street, then onto East 3rd Street.
- Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Ennis Street, then onto East 1st Street.
Please also note: During this work, South Penn Street traffic will be restricted to right turn only at the intersection of South Penn and 1st Streets.
Please drive carefully and follow directions provided by traffic control personnel.
