Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Port Angeles will hold Public Hearings at the regular City Council meetings on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., or soon thereafter. These meetings will be conducted as a hybrid meetings. In hybrid meetings, members of the public, Council members, and City staff have the option to attend the meeting in person, in Council chambers at City Hall located at 321 East 5th Street, Port Angeles, or remotely via telephone or video link. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive input on the proposed Municipal Code Update 24-125 to the Port Angeles Municipal Code Chapters 2.18, 16.04, 16.08, 16.09, 16.10, 16.12, 16.14, 17.13, 17.19, 17.31, 17.37, 17.44, 17.45, 17.44, 17.96, and 18.02 relating to RCW 36.70B Local Project Review Updates and Senate Bill (SB) 5290 requirements for project permit procedures.
The proposed amendment information may be found online at https://www.cityofpa.us/145/Land-Use-Projects-Under-Review or you can request documents and information from the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) by emailing ced@cityofpa.us.
Interested parties are encouraged to comment on the municipal code amendment proposal and may request a copy of the decision once it’s been made. Any interested parties may submit written comment in advance of the public hearing by emailing council@cityofpa.us, or addressed to 321 E 5th St., Port Angeles, WA 98362 no later than the date of the public hearing on December 3, 2024. Verbal testimony can be made during the Public Hearing. Written comments will not be read aloud but will be made a part of the record.
