[ARCHIVED] $200 Electric Bill Credit Available to Eligible City of Port Angeles Customers

Utility Bill Credit

The City of Port Angeles has partnered with the Washington State Department of Commerce and Promise to distribute funds that help low- and moderate-income households pay their electricity bills.

What is the Clean Energy Credits for Washington Families Program?

This program is offering a one-time bill credit of $200 to eligible electric utility customers. Qualifying customers will have the $200 bill credit applied to their utility account by September 15, 2024.

The Clean Energy Credits for Washington Families Program is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov.

Eligibility

City of Port Angeles residential utility customers that qualify as low- to moderate-income are eligible. Low- to moderate-income is determined by the average median income (AMI) per county, and by household size. Low-income households earn 80% or less than the AMI, while moderate-income households earn 150% or less than the AMI.
