Free Training: 2025 Lodging Tax Fund Application Submission and Award Process

Join city staff on Thursday, August 22nd to prepare for the 2025 Lodging Tax (LTAX) fund Request for Application Proposals (RFP). The City of Port Angeles is hosting a training for potential applicants interested in requesting funds from the annual LTAX fund. The training will take place at City Hall, 321 East 5th Street, in the Council Chambers, and will also have a virtual option.

Topics will include:

  • Navigating Washington State Revised Code of Washington (RCW) legislation regulating the allowed uses of LTAX funding.
  • Understanding the annual LTAX budgeting process.
  • Review of the current City Council Approved Lodging Tax Advisory Committee “Vision, Goals, and Priorities” document.
  • A walkthrough of the application process.
  • The funding award process.
  • The contract and reimbursement process.

Whether you have been through the LTAX RFP process many times before or this is your first time requesting LTAX funding, you don’t want miss this opportunity to improve you’re understanding of the Port Angeles LTAX funding application and award process. There will also be time at the end of the training for any questions you may have about the Annual RFP process.
