[ARCHIVED] WSDOT Travel Advisory: Road Work Scheduled August 12-15 on US 101

WSDOT Early morning road work on US 101 in Port Angeles Aug. 12-15

Early morning travelers who use US 101 in Port Angeles will want to plan extra travel time the week of Aug. 12.

From 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. each day Monday, Aug. 12, through Thursday, Aug. 15, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will repair asphalt on US 101 in Port Angeles. Work is scheduled to occur at a different location each day.

Monday, Aug. 12
Traffic will shift on eastbound US 101/North Lincoln Street at the East 3rd Street intersection.

Tuesday, Aug. 13
The right lane of eastbound US 101/West 1st Street will close between North Lincoln Street and North Vine Street.

Wednesday, Aug 14
One-way alternating traffic on US 101/North Lincoln Street approaching East 11th Street. During the work, access to US 101/North Lincoln Street from East 11th Street will close.

Thursday, Aug. 15
The right lane of westbound US 101 will close at North Baker Street.

All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.

  • Slow down – drive the posted speeds, they're there for everyone’s safety.
  • Be kind – Workers are out there helping to keep everyone safe and improve the roadways.
  • Pay attention – both to workers directing traffic and to fellow travelers.
  • Stay Calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible.
