Council member Kidd is a native of Port Angeles and a third generation member of the Kidd family in Port Angeles. She is a graduate of Port Angeles High School and attended Peninsula College. Her business background includes working for Fortune 500 Companies including First Financial Management, Sprint, KPMG, and Egon Zehnder International.

Council member Kidd has run two successful companies of her own including national speaking tours with Success Seminars. In cooperation with her husband, Bob Forsberg, they own a local mini-storage facility, AAA Affordable Storage, and U-Haul.

Council member Kidd is the former chair of the Port Angeles Planning Commission. She is a past president of the noon Kiwanis Club. This is a special honor because her father, Ray Kidd, was also president of this club.

Council member Kidd is an active member of the Port Angeles Business Association, the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International, and serves on the boards of the Olympic Medical Center Foundation, Clallam County Economic Development Council, Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Salvation Army. She also taught "Excellence in Customer Service" classes for WorkFirst at Peninsula College.
