Inspection Requests

Inspections must be booked prior to noon on the business day before the desired inspection appointment. A limited number of inspection appointments are available each day, so booking an inspection as early as possible is recommended. The booking system will display the next available appointment day. 

How does the hybrid inspection process work? 

Online Request Form: Customers can choose from the following inspection types: Engineering, Fire, Electrical, Building, or Planning.    

Online Appointment Booking: Field inspection customers can request a specific date for an appointment. Inspectors will determine their daily routing and order of conducting the scheduled inspections. Customers may also modify or cancel their inspection appointment requests if needed. 

Confirmation Email: Requestors will receive an automated confirmation email about their upcoming inspection.

Inspection Lead Times: In order to be consistent across City inspector teams, the advance notice required for inspection requests has changed. All appointments must be requested prior to noon the business day before the desired appointment.
