Blue Mountain Transfer Station

Blue Mountain SignBlue Mountain Transfer Station is operated by the City of Port Angeles.

It is located at 1024 Blue Mountain Road, approximately halfway between Port Angeles and Sequim.

From Port Angeles:

Head east on Highway 101 for approximately 5.5 miles. Turn right onto Blue Mountain Road and proceed about 1 mile to the station. The gate is on the right.

From Sequim:

Head west on Highway 101 for approximately 6.5 miles. Turn left onto Blue Mountain Road and proceed about 1 mile to the station. The gate is on the right.

Operations:

Days of Operation are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No trailers, please! 

2021 fees are as follows:

  • Waste disposal is $256.89 per ton
  • Minimum charge is $5.00

Large appliances, furniture larger than 4 feet x 4 feet, construction debris, tires, and yard waste are not accepted, but can be taken to the Regional Transfer Station in Port Angeles.

Cash, checks, credit cards and debit cards are accepted. Make checks payable to "City of Port Angeles (COPA)".

There is no charge for recycling. There are 5 drop boxes for recycling:

  • Cardboard
  • Mixed paper and mixed containers (includes plastic bottles, jars and jugs, rigid plastic dairy tubs and plant pots, tin/steel cans, and aluminum cans)
  • Glass (as of June 24, 2023)

 No plastic bags please.

Motor oil and antifreeze are also collected. No automotive batteries or metals are collected at this site for recycling.
