Roles & Responsibilities

The Civil Service Commission investigates concerns and reports on all matters relating to enforcement and effect of these rules; hears and determines appeals or complaints on administrative work of Chief Examiner; and decides on disciplinary actions (when needed) for civil service employees of the City of Port Angeles.

Members of the Civil Service Commission are appointed to four-year terms, with a limit of two consecutive terms. No person shall be appointed a member of such commission who is not a citizen of the United States, a resident of the City of Port Angeles for at least three years immediately preceding such appointment, and an elector of the county wherein he or she resides.
