Parks Caretaker I
Under direction of the Parks & Recreation Director, the Parks Caretaker will maintain athletic fields, buildings, grounds and park facilities in City parks and recreational areas performing grounds maintenance, mowing, trimming, pruning vegetation, cleaning restrooms, and minor building maintenance such as painting and maintenance level construction, concrete work, and similar assigned tasks. The caretaker will operate a variety of equipment such as mowers, power mowers, and a variety of gas powered power tools, light trucks, and tractors, as well as coordinate and oversee the work of assigned seasonal workers.
Salary & Benefits:
AFSCME Range 14: Annual Salary $48,013 - $57,327 annually

• Two years of full time work experience in grounds and building maintenance.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid first aid card and flagging card within 90 days of hire.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Washington State Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and a good driving record.
• The finalist must pass the Washington State Child and Adult Abuse background check prior to hire.
