Signing Up For Electric Service
After paying the electric service fee (usually included with the various Building Department and Public Works permits
and fees) please sign up at the front counter of City Hall for temporary power, service and/or an electric meter.

For complete information, please refer to Chapter 14.05 of the City's Municipal Code. This Chapter is intended to regulate the installation, alteration, extension and repair of electrical wiring, materials, appliances, apparatus, devices, and equipment in the City of Port Angeles and shall apply to all electrical conductors and equipment installed, used, rented, offered for sale or distributed for use in the City......
STOP! PREPARE, PLAN AND PERMIT FIRST! HOT TUB INSTALLATION If you are thinking about where to locate an outdoor hot tub - be sure it is NOT located under any power lines and that you have all the necessary permits! Remember the three P's. . . . . Plan - Prepare - Permit. Safety first!
ELECTRICAL PERMIT PROCESSING TIME
Please allow 24 hours, or one full business day, for a typical electrical permit.
Allow 72 hours for any permit requiring engineering relating to electric utility service installation or revisions.
Please contact the Electrical Inspector for plan review requirements.
REQUIREMENTS and GUIDELINES This info will assist you regarding establishing electric utility service for new and remodeled structures. Specific regulations govern electrical service and rates within the City.

Applications
All applications can be picked up at City Hall between the hours of 8 am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Or download the forms below, print, fill out completely and return to City Hall. Your application and site plan must be complete to be accepted for review.
