If you would like to report a code compliance concern, please call or stop by during regular business hours. A form must be completed and signed in order to file a report. Regular business hours at City Hall are Monday through Friday from 8am until 5pm.

Ennis Creek Area
This area had long been a "depository" for abandoned vehicles along with a wide assortment of garbage packed inside many of them.

Vehicles were towed away and debris disposed of properly. The area was cleaned of any small particles and concrete barriers with steel cables were installed to help prevent the return of any more.

These are examples of the types of things that the Code Compliance Officer has been taking care of.

Community Development
Planning is a team effort.The Planning Division is dedicated to serve public interests and protect individual rights through the planned and orderly development of the lands and environs of Port Angeles.

The City established a one-stop permit center in 1997 which is located in the main lobby of City Hall, 321 East Fifth Street, Port Angeles, Washington. Office hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.


Construction Permits or approval are required for these
construction activities and land use approvals:

  • Demolition / New Construction
  • Electrical
  • Fire
  • Mechanical
  • Clearing and Grading

Land Use Permits are required for:

  • Zoning Code Amendments including Rezones
  • State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Reviews
  • Conditional or Special Use Permits
  • Wetland Permits
  • Shoreline Permits
  • Subdivisions
  • Boundary Line Adjustments
